Massimo Savia
Massimo Savia
Bass
His singing career began at the age of 12, in 1988, with the “Coro Valgarina” di Montecrestese (VB), under the direction of Don Lucio Mantovani, which performed at various Italian and international venues presenting a vast programme of popular and Alpine music by Italy’s most famous composers in the field. Meanwhile, he took up music theory, guitar lessons, and voice studies at some of the most prestigious music schools in his local province.
From 1996 to 2000, he collaborated with the “Gruppo Ossolano Canti” in Domodossola (VB) and, in 2000, he founded, along with others who were passionate about a cappella music, the “Il Richiamo” men’s chorus directed by Luciano Maglio. With the latter group he came into contact with sacred and secular choral music while performing in Italy and other countries.
Later, in 2007, the chorus became a quintet performing a repertoire ranging from secular Renaissance music to twentieth century popular pieces, even touching on vocal arrangements for pop songs and jazz.
He has been the bass for The Blossomed Voice since 2008 and has performed in a total of over 450 concerts.
